You happily ordered your dream JDM parts, waited weeks (or months) for it to arrive to receive a customs invoice that rivals your monthly car payment can feel like getting gapped by a stock Civic at a red light—unexpected, embarrassing, and financially painful. If you've recently experienced this wallet-lightening phenomenon, welcome to the club nobody wants to join.
Please note: This information specifically applies to shipments from Japan to the United States via major carriers including UPS, DHL, and FedEx.
The Fundamental Shift in U.S. Import Regulations (Or: Why Your Voltex Wing Now Costs More Than Your First Car)
The United States eliminated its de minimis exemption for all countries on August 29, 2025, fundamentally transforming how we acquire those sweet JDM goodies. Previously duty-free shipments valued under $800 are now subject to comprehensive tariffs and fees.

Japan-USA Tariff Update
You may have heard about the new import duties affecting products coming from Japan. Currently, most Japanese products arriving in the United States face a tariff of 15% or higher—a significant jump compared to what was previously in place. On top of that, the $800 threshold that used to allow smaller packages to arrive duty-free has been removed, which means every commercial shipment now incurs these tariffs and fees. These policy shifts are part of wider trade regulation updates that our company has no authority over.86WORX promise a seamless Shopping from our Japan warehouse to your USA address

Hey everyone! Most of you never heard of Golden Week, but it’s a National Holiday in Japan.
For Japanese people, it’s the equivalent of “Spring Break”.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused, all customers with orders affected by Golden Week will be contacted by email.
You can find more information about this holiday by following this link.
When is Golden Week?
Golden Week takes place from April 29, 2025 to May 6, 2025 this year.
What usually happens during Golden Week?
The whole country of Japan kind of “shuts down”. Most factories are closed and people take time to visit their family, do sightseeing or travel. This year, it'll just be time to relax at home.
Why do we talk about Golden Week?
As you may know already, 99% of our parts ship straight from Japan. During Golden Week, our shipping department is no different and all operations will be halted during Golden Week. Jenvey or Nardi products are not affected by this holiday.
Will your order be affected?
If you placed a order after

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, some countries have put limitations on the most awesome shipping service in the world : Japan Post EMS (this also affects Japan Post Air Mail & ePacket). We have used Japan Post EMS for the past 15+ years with success, pre-pandemic being a reliable 3-5 days shipping method. During and after pandemic, it’s safe to say the quality of service suffered and prices went up, but it was and is still the most cost effective way to ship “normal size” aerodynamic piece (big in volume, light in weight).
Most countries have a limit of around 150cm (longest size), which allows us to send most small aerodynamics pieces at a fraction of the cost of DHL or UPS.
Since 2023, some countries have restricted Japan Post dimensions to 105cm which means the prices shown on the website may be inaccurate for the following countries :
Australia
Argentina
Uruguay
United Arab Emirates
Oman
Saudi Arabia
Spain
Rwanda

Dear FT86 lovers, On April 1st 2020, Japan Post announced that they temporarily suspend shipping to countries heavily affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19).
We always took great care of our customers and this is really challenging times. We always aimed at providing the best possible service and we’re working every hours of the day to solve this problem one way or another.
***THIS DOES NOT AFFECT ORDERS SHIPPED VIA UPS (OVERSIZED)***
All of our oversized products such as aerodynamics and our heavier products such as wheels & coilovers can still be shipped worldwide! If you combine oversized & regular product, we can ship worldwide!
***UPDATED NOVEMBER 5TH 2022***
What are we doing to solve this problem ?
We are now shipping to all countries with the COVID-19 restriction via DHL or UPS. The DHL and UPS services are extremely quick and usually reach the customer within 2-3 business day. If the country is not affected by the Japan Post suspension, we ship the same way as usual.

It's long due, but here's the blog post about our coverage of pretty much all Toyota 86 & Subaru BRZ from Tokyo Auto Salon 2019 (TAS2019).
There are A LOT of photos so... enjoy!
86 Future Sport (Sano Design)
This 86 is out-Supra-ing the Supra itself! It’s rocking some 18x9.5 Rays TE-037 and has a 3S-GTE engine under the hood! It’s got a very sleek wide body kit and shows how wild aerodynamics can get!
The 86 from 326POWER was rocking their Yabaking Wheels and their newly released 86 Kouki Aerodynamics. Please contact us if you’d like to get a quote for these parts~
Varis showed up at the show with its Kamikaze Kit! It’s super wide and meant for racing. It’s not something we’d suggest for street… but man, it’s awesome!
As you can see, it’s all Carbon Fiber!
It was rocking some Advan TC-4 Wheels which are pretty aggressive looking!
HKS
HKS had quite a sober 86 for 2019. It was very clean looking and had something pretty awesome under the hood!

This is our first post about the coverage we did on the FT86s at Tokyo Auto Salon 2017. This first part is focused on the second generation 86 (2016/2017 facelift/Kouki). The next posts will be about the first generation, but I’m sure you’ll also enjoy seeing the progress on the newly designed car.
Here are the tuners that made some awesome modifications on their Kouki’s:
Blitz
Blitz came up with a pretty cool adaptation of their existing widebody to make it fit the facelifted 86. The front bumper is insanely aggressive and so is the fenfer flares. They also decided to add a carbon fiber front splitter on top of that. It looks pretty nice with the stock rear spoiler, too. It’s also rocking the Enkei RS05RR Wheels.
Varis always release high quality, aggressive and nice flowing aerodynamics. The Kouki 86 is no exception. The White/Red/Black design also gives the car a nice sporty look. We can see the car rocking Front Lip, Hood, Side Steps, Rear Diffuser, Trunk & Wing.
